The Hymen is a pursestring like bit of tissue surrounding the opening of the vagina. Its size , thickness and the degree of its closing up of the vaginal opening vary in every individual variation, and because of the common use of cotton tampons during menstruation, it is no longer of any consideration in judging virginity
